ABOUT #SFWVancouver™

Startup Fashion Week™ launched in Toronto during 2014 and expanded to Montreal a few years afterwards. In 2019 our founder Jodi Goodfellow decided to explore the fashion industry on the west coast and hosted a Preview Party to get to know the Vancouver community. After establishing incredible relationships with many people and being enamoured by the west coast vibes, we had planned to launch the first official SFW in November 2020 however, we unfortunately had to cancel due to COVID-19. We can’t wait to explore more of Vancouver’s fashion industry and we are working on potential plans for 2021. Want to get involved? DESIGNERS

We are currently looking to showcase emerging Designers / Brands in Vancouver for our show in 2021. Want to be considered? Fill out the application below. We will review all applicants, however our goal is to showcase Canada’s most promising brands. Think you have what it takes? We would love to hear from you!

PHOTOGRAPHERS / MEDIA

Over the years we have worked with many professional photographers and other media who have repeatedly committed their time and talent to the SFW community. These individuals often go above and beyond with photo shoots and event coverage; they truly provide an authentic fashion week experience. Startup Fashion Week™ welcomes Photographers, Videographers, Bloggers, Podcasts and Print Media to apply for media accreditation to attend our events. Please note that this process allows us to vet through applicants to ensure credibility of those who will in fact provide coverage since we have a limited number of media passes to distribute for each event. This system also helps us understand who needs access to the media pit vs. seats for the runway show, which is a huge logistical part of the production. MODELS

Model castings for our Vancouver event will take place in Fall of 2021 where both alumni and new models can audition for various opportunities. We love supporting models whether they are experienced or not - we encourage everyone interested to register for an audition.
